YES. Even if you don't compete in tournaments, you have to have your USA card in order to participate in practices.
Practice is held at Mariner HS in the mat room
For practice, t-shirts and shorts (no zippers or buttons) and wrestling shoes. Wrestling shoes can be found at most local sporting good stores or Amazon.
For competitions, Mukilteo USA singlets will be available for purchase, or you can also find singlets on Amazon.
Absolutely! We suggest you start as soon as you can, especially if you are new to the sport. But you can join the club at any time!
Yes, you can come and watch practice to see if you want to join us! But we know you will love it!
Yes, parents and siblings are welcome to stay and watch. We ask that you do so quietly from the viewing areas, and that siblings are supervised at all times.
Yes! Coaches are always needed; we ask all coaches helping on the mat to have a Wrestling Leadership card. They are $80 dollars for the year. It includes a background check and a safe sport course. This ensures our wrestlers have the best and safest coaching available.
If you have a fever, diarrhea, or are throwing up, you should not return to practice for at least 24 hours after your last symptoms. Wrestlers work closely together, and germs spread quickly in the mat room.
If you have a raised, irritated or circular looking rash, please contact coach or a team parent immediately.
If you have any questions at all ask a coach before stepping on the mat.
Absolutely not! Girls wrestling is one of the fastest growing sports in Washington right now! We encourage all girls and boys to come out and wrestle!
